Activities

UCSC Community Connections formed in 2022 when members from the former UCSC Affiliates and former UCSC Women's Club merged. 

We start the year off with a Fall Membership Gathering followed by a New Member Soiree to welcome new members. 

Programs and General Meetings - There are seven lunchtime programs during the year. An integral part of our activities, programs at General Meetings offer a variety of speakers and a wide range of topics from the art, science and community programs. Each year brings something new and exciting.

Interest Groups - Our interest groups offer a chance for our members to meet in a more relaxed and socially intimate setting. It is an opportunity to meet and socialize with others with similar interests or do something new. Interest groups range from book clubs, bridge, hiking, biking, travel or just lunch.

Fundraisers - A special part of the club are the annual fundraisers and are an integral part of our mission. These fundraisers raise money for scholarships for local high school students entering UCSC and continuing, re-entry students.

The annual Spring Scholarship Luncheon, in May, culminates the year with the presentation of scholarships to selected recipients.
